Learn More About AAOMPT Here

In order to become a member of AAOMPT, a Physical Therapist's eligibility is the same as it is for membership within the APTA.

To be eligible for membership, you must be accepted to, enrolled in, or be a graduate from a PT program that is accredited or is seeking or has been granted candidacy status by the Commission on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education (program must be CAPTE accredited at time of graduation).

Applicants who have been educated outside of the United States at a physical therapy program not accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education, must reside in the United States and be able to provide documentation that reports that their education, with respect to professional education, is equal to that of an entry-level physical therapy program in the United States.

A credentials evaluation or a copy of an United States physical therapy license, in any state except Puerto Rico, can be submitted as proof of eligibility for membership.

Anyone who joins AAOMPT prior to November 1 of any given calendar year will have a membership expiration date of December 31, of the same calendar year. Anyone who joins after November 1 will have a membership expiration date through the next calendar year.
