About FOMPT

The Foundation for Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy advocates for excellence in OMPT practice through its funding for initiatives in OMPT Fellowship training, education, research, and public recognition.

The Foundation for Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (FOMPT) objectives are to:

  • Advance public and professional education of orthopaedic manual physical therapy
  • Support and disseminate results of scientific and clinical research related to orthopaedic manual physical therapy
  • Raise awareness of best practices to enhance musculoskeletal health and prevent and treat musculoskeletal injury and disease
  • Ensure the future of orthopaedic manual physical therapy, to protect the public, to maintain the highest ethical standards
  • Educate the public on the benefits of orthopaedic manual physical therapy and the concerned public
