Speaker Biographies

Jake Awruch, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Jake Awruch is an instructor at Duke University and Duke University Health System. Jake is currently a Faculty Development Resident at Duke University and a faculty member in Duke’s Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program and instructs in the Duke Orthopaedic residency. Jake is an instructor in the Duke DPT program. Jake completed a fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy, is a fellow of the AAOMPT, and is an orthopedic board-certified specialist and a member of the APTA. Jake received both a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree and a DPT in 2010 and 2014 respectively from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT.


Kelli Baggett, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Kelli Baggett graduated from the University of Missouri with her DPT in 2016 and then completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2017. She has worked in several outpatient orthopedic clinics including MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, University of Illinois at Chicago Faculty Practice, and UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion. She specializes in orthopedics and lower extremity amputee care including rehabilitation following osseointegration. Dr. Baggett completed her fellowship through Regis University in April 2024. She is also an associated faculty member in the University of Colorado Physical Therapy Program.


Dustin Barrett, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dustin Barrett is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the School of Health Sciences at Emory and Henry College. He is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. He practiced as an acute care and outpatient physical therapist for 13 years before moving into a full-time academic faculty position in 2020. He currently teaches in the musculoskeletal and anatomy course series and his research interests include the psychosocial aspects of patient care.


Lara Baum, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Lara Baum earned her DPT from the University of Colorado in 2015, and has been a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Specialist since 2019. She went on to complete the Regis University Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy in 2024. Dr. Baum lives in the Denver area and practices at the CU Sports Medicine and Performance Center in Boulder, CO. She is an affiliated faculty member in the University of Colorado Physical Therapy Program in the Musculoskeletal tract, with a special interest in the treatment of lumbopelvic conditions.


Will Behrns, PT DPT OCS GCS

William Behrns has practiced orthopedic PT since 2015 for both educational and hospital-based systems. In 2016 he completed his orthopedic residency training at the University of Delaware and went on to become an ABPTS orthopedic clinical specialist. Currently he serves as the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) Rehabilitation Department’s Director of Residencies and Fellowships. Through this role he oversees program development, strategic partnerships, and mentor training for nine post-professional training programs. William has presented on the topic of mentorship both locally and nationally and has been instrumental in the development of clinical education at HSS. In addition, he was the recipient of the APTA Academy of Education’s Distinguished Mentor in Residency/Fellowship Education Award in 2024.


Alex Bengtsson, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT

Dr. Alex Bengtsson completed his DPT at the University of Miami in 2015 and an orthopaedic residency through VOMPTI in 2016, becoming a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in 2017. He completed the Duke University Health System OMPT Fellowship in 2020 and the Northwestern University Fellowship in Advanced Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Practice, Research and Education in 2021. Alex is currently a post-doctoral research fellow at Northwestern University, investigating the neurophysiology of chronic pain and mechanisms of manual therapy. He practices part-time at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and mentors orthopaedic residents and fellows-in-training. Alex is the chair of the AAOMPT education committee. 


Helene Bengtsson, PT, DPT, OCS, WCS

Dr. Helene Bengtsson is both a Board Certified Clinical Orthopedic Specialist and Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Pelvic Health. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Ithaca College and is currently working with Northwestern Medicine specializing in pelvic pain pertaining to complex gynecology, sexual medicine, and menopause. She also teaches at the University of Illinois in Chicago on Sexual Medicine and Health, as well as continuing education courses pertaining to pelvic health for the orthopaedic physical therapist. Helene is the owner of Eira Pilates in Chicago, IL. Currently, Helene is the acting President of the Pelvic SIG in AAOMPT.


Kunal Bhanot, PT, PhD, FAAOMPT

Dr. Kunal Bhanot is the Associate Professor and Founding Program Director of the DPT program at Carlow University, Pittsburgh, PA. He holds a PhD in Orthopedics and Sports Science. He is a Fellow of the AAOMPT and has certification in Dry Needling. He has been a clinician and an educator specializing in orthopedic manual and sports PT. His clinical practice focuses on treating patients with chronic pain. His research is focused on investigating the muscle recruitment patterns of the commonly used therapeutic exercises for musculoskeletal rehabilitation. He has several publications and presented in several national and international conferences.


William Boissonnault, PT, DHSc, FAPTA, FAAOMPT

Bill Boissonnault, is professor-emeritus- University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds multiple adjunct physical therapy faculty positions. Previous positions include Executive VP of Professional Affairs, APTA. He received his PT degree from the University of WI-Madison, MS and DHSc degree from the University of St. Augustine, and t-DPT degree from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.


Robert Boyles, PT, DSc, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Boyles is a Clinical Professor and former Program Director at the University of Puget Sound’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in Tacoma, WA. Previously, he was on faculty as Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education at the U.S. Army-Baylor University DPT program. His primary areas of instruction are evaluation and intervention in orthopaedic disorders, manual therapy treatment techniques for the spine and extremities, and musculoskeletal imaging. He also has extensive conference and continuing education instructional experience in these areas. Dr. Boyles is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist.


Leigh-Ann Bramble, PT DPT EdD COMT

Leigh-Ann Bramble received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and her Doctoral degree in Education in Applied Exercise Physiology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a Certified Manual Orthopedic Therapist through Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. Her clinical interests include working with active professionals and athletes who want to get back in the game.


Jonathan Bray, PT, DPT, EdD, MS, FAAOMPT

Jonathan received his Master of Physical Therapy degree from Quinnipiac University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Utica College. He has completed he his Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy with MTI and is recognized as a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Jonathan completed his Doctorate in Education with a concentration in organizational leadership from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Jonathan is the Assistant Program Director and an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences Miami campus.


Jean-Michel Brismee, ScD, FAAOMPT

Jean-Michel Brismée, PT, ScD is professor in the Doctor of Science and Doctor of Philosophy programs in Rehabilitation Science at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas, and teaches orthopaedic manual therapy related continuing education courses with the International Academy of Orthopaedic Medicine (IAOM-US).


Derek Charles, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Derek Charles is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Tennessee State University teaching musculoskeletal courses. His research interests include running injuries and the effects of manual therapy and he has previously presented at Combined Sections Meeting and the AAOMPT Annual Conference. He also owns a cash-based practice and serves as a clinical instructor for the TSU Rehab Community Clinic, a student-led, pro-bono clinic. Dr. Charles was initially credentialed as an ABPTS Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2011 and recertified in2021. He completed his AAOMPT Fellowship through the Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars in 2023.


Chad Cook, PT, PhD, MBA, FAPTA

Dr. Cook is a tenured professor at Duke University, where his primary appointment is in the Department of Orthopaedics. He has secondary appointments in the Department of Population Health Sciences and the Duke Clinical Research Institute. Dr. Cook is the Director of the Duke Center of Excellence in Manual and Manipulative Therapy (CEMMT) and is a PI of ForceNET, a research network designed to improve our understanding of manual therapy mechanisms. Dr. Cook is a former editor-in-chief of JMMT and is/has been an associate editor for over 20 years for several peer-reviewed journals. He is part of over 11 million dollars in external funding and is a prolific researcher with over 350 publications.


Valerie Coolman, DSc, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT

Dr. Coolman became a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT) in 2010. She has served as the Director of the Post-Professional Physical Therapy Program at Andrews University as well as an Orthopaedic Fellowship Director. She currently serves as the Chair of the Leadership subcommittee for AAOMPT and Faculty for ASPIRE OMT, Erl Pettman's newly founded institute. Dr. Coolman has enjoyed lecturing on OMT topics, nationally and internationally. She continues to collaborate and teach at Andrews University in the Post-Professional Department.


Carol Courtney, PT, PhD, ATC, FAAOMPT, FAPTA

Carol A. Courtney PT, PhD, ATC, FAAOMPT, FAPTA is Professor at Northwestern University Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Science and serves as the Associate Chair for Clinical Post-Professional Studies. She received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St Louis, Master of Science from the University of South Australia and Louisiana State University, and a PhD from the University of Miami. Dr. Courtney is a licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer, and has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. She was recently named a Catherine Worthingham Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association.


Christina Cuka, PT, DPT, DSc, FAAOMPT

Christina Cuka PT, DPT, DSc, is an assistant professor and core faculty in the DPT program at Hawai’i Pacific University. She teaches Human Anatomy and Musculoskeletal. During her 20+ years of practice, Dr. Cuka worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting treating musculoskeletal disorders. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy, and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She is certified in manual therapy, trigger point dry needing and scoliosis. Dr. Cuka has presented at state and national conferences on teaching and learning, the cervical spine, and scoliosis.


Amber Custodi, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, CSCS

Amber Custodi is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and she is the program coordinator for the Brooks Orthopaedic Residency program in Orlando, FL. In 2021, Dr. Custodi received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Daemen College, in Amherst NY, and went on to complete an Orthopaedic Residency with Brooks Rehabilitation in 2022. Dr. Custodi graduated from the Brooks Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program in 2024. Dr. Custodi is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has additional certifications in blood flow restriction training and trigger point dry needling. Dr. Custodi has presented at both state and national conferences and her clinical interests include treating chronic musculoskeletal pain. 


Gail Deyle, DPT, DSc, FAPTA

Gail Deyle is a Professor with Baylor University Graduate School and the founder and senior faculty member for the Army-Baylor University Doctoral Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy located at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr Deyle’s physical therapy career included a variety of military assignments working as a formally credentialed physical therapist with advanced clinical practice privileges and doctoral fellowship-level teaching and program development. He has authored and contributed to some of the most practice-defining research on the effectiveness of orthopaedic physical therapy with a manual therapy focus.


Megan Donaldson, PT, PhD, FAAOMPT

Megan Donaldson, PT, Ph.D., FAAOMPT, is a tenured professor at the Medical University of South Carolina and is the Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). She completed the Higher Education Leadership Fellowship from the APTA in 2021. She has acquired external funding for her research. She has contributed routinely to scholarship with peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presentations of musculoskeletal health, patient-centered care approaches, and manual therapy topics nationally and internationally. Nationally, she has served as the chief Delegate for the Ohio Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and she currently serves as the President of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.


Mauricio Elizondo, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS, CPSS

Mauricio Elizondo is a Sports Physical Therapist with >15 years of content expertise in sports, orthopaedics, and manual rehabilitation. He is Manual Therapy Certified and currently resides in Austin TX as Sports Medicine Director of the Austin FC team of MLS. Previously, he has been a member of the medical staff for the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, and Association of Tennis Professionals. He also is a former owner of a private practice clinic called Performance Sport Physio. Mauricio received his DPT in 2016 from the University of St. Augustine.


Rachel Felicione, PT, DPT, OCS

Rachel Felicione is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and second-year Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy fellow-in-training at Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, Florida. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Lebanon Valley College in 2022 where she served as President of the Board of Directors of the CURE Clinic, Lebanon Valley College's student-led pro bono clinic physical therapy clinic. Rachel then completed an Orthopaedic Residency program with Brooks Rehabilitation in summer of 2023.


Julie Fritz, PT, PhD, FAPTA

Julie Fritz is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training and the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Health at the University of Utah. She is a licensed physical therapist and received her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research has focused on examining nonpharmacologic treatments for individuals with chronic pain, including clinical trials and health services research. Dr. Fritz’s research has been federally funded since 2008. Currently, Dr. Fritz is leading projects funded by PCORI and the National Institutes of Health including projects funded under the HEAL initiative addressing pain management and opioid use.


Mary Beth Geiser, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Mary Beth Geiser is active in her profession as an educator (multiple universities), a clinician (Aurora Sports Health & SCORE Advantage LLC), a volunteer (APTA CPG Group, AAOMPT SIG officer, and Marquette’s ComMUnity Clinic), and as an advocate (for state/national issues, and the underserved). She has 33 years of clinical practice and 25 years of experience in various academic roles (working in DPT, Residency, and Fellowship programs). As a Fellow (2014) and a board-certified specialist (OCS 1999-Present) Dr. Geiser has received recognition or awards from several institutions (AOPT/APTA Centennial Scholar, APTA Wisconsin, Regis University, and Aurora Healthcare).


Liam Globensky, PT, DPT, OCS

Liam Globensky graduated from the University of North Florida with his Doctorate in physical therapy in 2022. He is a graduate of the Orthopaedic Residency program at Brooks Institute of Higher Learning.  He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and is currently a Fellow in training at the Brooks Institute of Higher Learning in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. He is currently practicing with Brooks Rehabilitation in Amelia Island, Florida.


Andrew Golden, PT, DPT, DSc, FAAOMPT, OCS, CertMDT

Andrew Golden is a physical therapist in the U.S. Army and currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Army-Baylor Doctoral Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. He received his BS in Education from University of Evansville in 2007, DPT from U.S. Army-Baylor University in 2014, and DSc from Baylor University in 2022. Dr. Golden is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and a credentialed Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy provider. His interests include clinical education and clinical reasoning models across physical therapy frameworks.


Amanda Grant, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, MTC, CLT, IDN Cert.

Amanda Grant has a DPT from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and is an orthopaedic certified specialist from the ABPTS. Amanda is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy and earned her Manual Therapy Certification. She has practiced clinically in the outpatient orthopedic setting for the past 17 years specializing in orthopaedics and lymphedema. Amanda has presented nationally on the topics of problem solving and critical thinking as it relates kinetic chain dysfunctions as well as differential diagnosis and clinical management of lymphedema.


Charles Hazle, PT, PhD

Charles Hazle is an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky where he has taught manual examination and treatment for 26 years. He has also co-authored 2 textbooks on diagnostic imaging and contributed to numerous manuscripts on imaging in physical therapist practice and various components of manual clinical examination procedures. He has similarly presented at multiple national conferences on these topics. He served two terms as President of the Imaging Special Interest Group in the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and has taught imaging content at multiple educational programs domestic and abroad.


John Heick, PT, PhD, DPT, OCS, NCS, SCS

John Heick is a tenured Professor at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. Dr. Heick received his Ph.D. in 2015 from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Orthopaedic and Sports Science. John is board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in orthopaedics, neurology, and sports. John was awarded the James A. Gould Excellence in Teaching Orthopaedics Physical Therapy Award by the Academy of Orthopaedics in 2021, the Lucy Blair Service Award by the APTA in 2021, and the Dorothy Baethke-Eleanor Carlin Excellence in Academic Teaching award by the APTA in 2023.


Virginia Henderson, DPT, FAAOMPT

Virginia K. Henderson, PT, DPT is a pediatric physical therapist in the department of orthopedics and sports medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital. She completed her Master of Physical Therapy at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and her transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Texas Women’s University. She completed her manual therapy fellowship with The Manual Therapy Institute. Dr. Henderson is currently an ScD student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and is studying the application of joint mobilization in the pediatric population.


Craig Hensley, PT, DPT, MSCI, OCS, FAAOMPT

Craig P. Hensley is Associate Professor at the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences (Northwestern University). He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree [University of Illinois Chicago (UIC)- 2007], Orthopedic Residency (University of Southern California- 2009), and Manual Therapy Fellowship (UIC- 2011). He has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles and is co-authoring the funded Clinical Practice Guideline for Medical Screening and revision for total knee replacement rehabilitation. Dr. Hensley has given over 70 peer-reviewed presentations. He serves on the AAOMPT Practice Affairs and the ACOMPTE Accreditation Committees.


Rachel Hunt, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Rachel Hunt graduated from the Ohio University DPT program in 2020. Rachel completed both her Orthopedic Residency and Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship at University of Chicago Medicine. Currently, she serves as faculty in the Orthopedic Residency at University of Chicago Medicine. Rachel has co-authored articles for ASHA Conference. She served as the second speaker at the 2023 AAOMPT breakout group “The Sacroiliac Joint: An Enigma or Just Another Link in the Chain”. 


Navpreet Kaur, PT, DPT, MTC, Dip. ACLM

Dr. Navpreet Kaur is an Associate professor at Carlow University, Pittsburgh, PA. She received her PhD in Orthopedics and Sports Science. She is manual therapy certified and also has a certification in Lifestyle Medicine Practice from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine with a Diplomate Status. Her research interest is to investigate the role of lifestyle medicine in physical therapy intervention to improve patient outcomes in lifestyle related chronic diseases. She also has publications in musculoskeletal physical therapy. She has presented at national and international conferences.


Alec Kay, PT, DMT, FAAOMPT, OCS, ATC

Alec initially began his career working in sports medicine at the University of California, Davis as an undergraduate where he received a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology and was Certified as an Athletic Trainer in 1988. Alec was awarded a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of the Pacific in 1990. He attended a 6 month full time residency in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) in Vallejo, CA, after working for several years in acute care and neurological rehabilitation. His additional post-graduate studies included completion of a Master of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 1997 and a Doctor of Manual Therapy degree in 2000, with a dissertation on the lumbar spine. After completion of his DMT, Alec was appointed to the faculty of the Ola Grimsby Institute Post-Professional Consortium and has been teaching advanced techniques in manual orthopedic physical therapy locally and in other states, as well as presenting as an invited speaker at conferences internationally. Alec is dedicated to continually improving his skills and teaching ability in manual therapy. He is the Director of the OGI Fellowship program in manual therapy. Additionally, Alec is the current president of American Physical Therapy Association Alaska and works at United Physical Therapy in Anchorage, Alaska.


David Kempfert, DPT, PHD, L/ATC, OCS, SCS, FAAOMPT

David J. Kempfert is a comprehensive therapist with >17 years of content expertise in sports, orthopaedics, and manual rehabilitation. He is a fellow of AAOMPT, has served as a reviewer for the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy (IJSPT), as a member of the Specialization Academy of Content Experts for the physical therapy Sports Specialty Council, as a PT/ATC to the United States Soccer Federation, and has conducted lectures at local and national conferences. David received his PhD in 2022 with a research agenda utilizing shear wave elastography to quantify adaptive/maladaptive changes of human soft tissue following injury and rehabilitation.


Damian Keter, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS

Damian Keter PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2013 and his Philosophy Doctorate (PhD) in 2023 investigating person-centered manual therapy. He is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and holds certifications in dry needling and chronic pain rehabilitation. Dr. Keter is a lecturer, researcher, national mentor and clinician for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (Cleveland, OH). Dr. Keter presents frequently at the national level on topics related to pain science and manual therapy and has published several peer-reviewed works on these topics.


Pieter Kroon, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Pieter graduated from the Haagsche Academie voor Fysiotherapie in the Hague, the Netherlands, in 1986. He completed his manual therapy fellowship training at Gulf Coast Graduate Physical Therapy Institute in 1992. He is Board Certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He started the Manual Therapy Institute in 1998, together with Tim Kruchowsky, where he functions as senior faculty and Program Director. He is a co-owner of Mondo Sports Therapy in Austin, TX.


Marwan Kublawi, PT, ScD, OCS, FAAOMPT

Marwan has over 25 years of experience as a physical therapist, earning an MS in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. He earned his Doctorate of Science from Texas Tech University. He is a board-certified orthopedic specialist and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. Since 2013, he has been a core faculty member at Marymount University and has headed the orthopedics program for nine years. He currently serves as the Director of Clinical Education. Marwan has extensive experience teaching peripheral and spinal manipulation to entry-level students and practicing clinicians.


Elizabeth Lane, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, FAAOMPT, CF-L2

Dr. Elizabeth Lane has practiced in outpatient orthopedics for 13 years and teaching in post-professional continuing education since 2013. She achieved her clinical doctorate in physical therapy from the Medical College of Georgia. She holds board-certification in orthopaedics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Utah under the direction of Julie Fritz, PT, Ph.D., FAPTA in 2020 with a focus on neuroscience education for those with chronic spinal pain. She has served as director of an orthopaedic residency and on the Residency and Fellowship Education Special Interest Group of the APTA’s Education Section. She currently holds a research faculty position at the University of Utah where her research interests include chronic pain, low back pain, and pain neuroscience education. Elaine Lonnemann, PT, DPT

Elaine Lonnemann has dedicated over 35 years as a clinician, academician, and leader. Specializing in orthopedic manual physical therapy, she's served as a private practice owner, chief PT, and assistant director of outpatient services. Her 25-year academic career spans Associate Professorship, transitional DPT Program Directorship, and roles as Associate Dean for Health Sciences and Associate Dean of Physical Therapy. She’s served as Secretary and two terms as President of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapists and currently serves as APTA KY's Chief Delegate. At the University of St. Augustine, Elaine serves as the Executive Liaison for Community Outreach while pursuing a Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership Management.


Adriaan Louw, PT, PhD

Adriaan earned his undergraduate, master’s degree and PhD in physiotherapy from the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa. He is an adjunct faculty member at St. Ambrose University and the University of Nevada Las Vegas, teaching pain science. Adriaan has taught throughout the US and internationally for 25 years and authored/co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles. Adriaan completed his Ph.D. on pain neuroscience education and is the Director of the Therapeutic Neuroscience Research Group – an independent collaborative initiative studying pain neuroscience. Adriaan is a senior faculty, pain science director and vice-president of faculty experience for Evidence in Motion.


Michael Maninang, PT, DPT, MBA, MHS, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Maninang has been a practicing physical therapist for more than 30 years working mainly in the orthopedic physical therapy setting. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy degree from Cebu Doctors’ University in the Philippines, OMPT residency and fellowship training with the Ola Grimsby Institute, MBA from Walden University, MHS degree from the University of Indianapolis, DPT from Boston University, and a DScPT degree from Andrews University. He has FAAOMPT and OCS credentials. He was the Program Director of the OMPT Fellowship and Orthopedic PT Residency programs at the University of Chicago Medicine. He is currently an Associate Professor at Lewis University’s DPT Program in Romeoville, IL.


Keri Maywhort, PT DPT

Dr. Maywhort is a seasoned manual therapist with extensive experience integrating dry needling into her clinical practice since 1998.  She has passion for curriculum and content development as well as training and mentoring dry needling faculty who are equally passionate about dry needling education. She has been involved in teaching dry needling to graduate and post-professional learners at both introductory and advanced levels since 2008. As an adjunct faculty member at Regis University in Denver, Colorado she instructs dry needling to entry-level physical therapist students, and students in the orthopedic residency and fellowship programs. She currently teaches continuing education courses through Dry Needling Academy. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). Additionally she has served as a member of the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy Dry Needling Task Force.


Adrienne McAuley, PT, DPT, MEd, OCS, FAAOMPT

Adrienne became interested in the relationship between lumbopelvic & hip disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction early in her career. She completed a residency in Manual Therapy through The Manual Therapy Institute in 2005 and went on to achieve Fellowship recognition in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2007 under the mentorship of Dave Ziegler, PT, MS, FAAOMPT. Passionate about teaching and learning, Adrienne pursued a parallel pathway in her professional development earning a Master of Arts in Education from George Washington University in 2005. Adrienne served as core faculty at Touro College (2006-2012) and the University of New England (2012-2024). Adrienne also teaches continuing education courses through the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments. Adrienne has published in JOSPT, JWHPHPT, and Musculoskel Science & Practice.


Amy McDevitt, DPT, PhD, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. McDevitt is an Associate Professor in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at the University of Colorado, USA. She teaches orthopaedics to entry-level physical therapist students. Clinically, she practices at the University of Colorado Health, CU Sports Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. She is a board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). She completed her PhD in Physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle, Australia. She has a track record of publications in manual therapy, regional interdependence, shoulder tendinopathy, and the development and assessment of clinical reasoning. She serves as Member at Large of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.


Terrence McGee, PT, DSc, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. McGee has over 23-years of clinical experience, and extensive post-professional residency and fellowship education experience to include program development, accreditation, and mentoring of program participants. Dr. McGee has served as in all facets of accreditation for the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE) and currently serves on the board for ABPTRFE in addition to being both an onsite reviewer and external assessor for the Accreditation Council on Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (ACOMPTE). Dr. McGee is an Assistant Professor and Director of Strategic Operations for the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Delaware.


Paul Mintken, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Mintken lives in Denver, CO and is a Professor in the DPT education program at Hawai'i Pacific University (HPU). Prior to HPU, Dr. Mintken was faculty in the DPT Program at the University of Colorado. Dr. Mintken is a board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic and Manual Physical Therapists. Dr. Mintken has received the APTA Excellence in Academic Teaching Award, the Excellence in Teaching Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Award, the Rose Research Award, the JOSPT Research Award, the Chattanooga Research Award, and the Outstanding Physical Therapist Award for the State of Colorado. Dr. Mintken has over 60 peer reviewed articles. He remains clinically active as a physical therapist at Wardenburg Health Center at the University of Colorado Boulder.


Bill O'Grady, PT, DPT, MA, FAPTA, FAAOMPT

Dr. O'Grady has lectured both nationally and internationally on manual therapy techniques. Having taught alongside renowned UK osteopath Dr. Laurie Hartman, he has instructed in multi-lever component techniques for the past 25 years. Dr. O'Grady has published several articles on spine treatment, with a focus on hypermobility, and authored chapters in orthopedic PT texts on manual therapy. Additionally, he co-authored "Thrust Joint Manipulation Skills for the Spine" with Dr. Louie Puentedura. In 1987, he was one of the original item writers for the first Orthopedic Specialty exams. Subsequently, he served as one of the four initial examiners for AAOMPT and later as its chair, overseeing the largest OSCE to date in 1999 in Orlando. He taught manual therapy at UNLV for 10 years, followed by two years at Baylor University before retiring.


Nate Parsons, PT, DPT, DSc, FAAOMPT, OCS

Nate Parsons is an Assistant Professor at Baylor University and works in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and the Doctoral Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy, both in San Antonio, TX. He earned his DPT in 2012 and a DSc from Baylor in 2018. He is board certified in Orthopedics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. His research interests include improving return to duty rates in military trainees, as well as improving the quality of musculoskeletal care delivered across the Military Health System.


Catherine Patla, PT, DHSc, FAPTA, OCS, FAAOMPT

Catherine Patla is an associate professor and a clinical mentor with USA residency fellowship programs. She has been a fellow of AAOMPT since 1996. Since 1996 - 2010, she has been on AAOMPT standards committee and co-chair 2003-2008. Catherine is presently the President of the Foundation of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. She is a Florida delegate to HOD for 2024 and has served this delegation since 2002 and Florida chapter President from 2007-2009. Her research investigations are on the topics of end-feel and clinical diagnostics skills.


Erl Pettman DScPT, FCAMPT

Erl Pettman DScPT, FCAMPT, has been teaching Orthopedic Manual Therapy(OMT) since 1977. He is the founder, senior faculty, and lead examiner for ASPIRE OMT. Erl serves as an adjunct professor in the post-professional DSc Program at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI. He has owned two clinics and founded two OMT institutes.

Louie Puentedura, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Puentedura has been teaching manual therapy thrust courses for over 40 years. He is a renowned national and international speaker in very high demand. He has published several major research papers in the field of manual therapy and, in fact, is a two-time Rose research winner. He has co-authored several books on pain neuroscience with Dr. Adriaan Lowe and co-authored “Joint Thrust Manipulation Skills of the Spine” with Dr. William O’Grady. He currently is a professor in the Baylor University DPT program, teaching both orthopedic manual therapy and anatomy after spending the previous 10+ years at UNLV doing the same thing.


Matthew Pugliese, PT DPT ScD OCS FAAOMPT

Matthew Pugliese graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy from Ithaca College, completed a fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy through Regis University and a doctorate of science in physical therapy from Texas Tech University. He holds a Board Certification in Orthopedics, teaches in an APTA credentialed orthopedic residency program and enjoys treating a wide variety of clinical conditions.


Jim Rivard, PT, MOMT, DMT, OCS, SCS, FAAOMPT

Jim Rivard graduated in 1988 from the University of Puget Sound. He completed 4 years of residency and fellowship training from the Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI). He has been an active instructor and clinical mentor for the OGI for over 30 years, teaching nationally and internationally. He is the founder of MTI Physical Therapy in Seattle, WA, and the program director for their Sports Residency Program. He remains in clinical practice with an emphasis on youth to professional athletes. Jim has been with AAOMPT since its inception, serving in executive positions, including AAOMPT president, currently serving on AAOMPT’s Diversity Network Committee. Logan Rodgers is a dedicated PhD student at the University of Florida, specializing in the field of Rehab Science with a focus on neuromuscular plasticity. Michael D. Ross is an Associate Professor and Chair/Program Director for the Physical Therapy Department at Daemen University in Amherst NY. He is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Prior to his appointment at Daemen University, Dr. Ross served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He has lectured extensively at the entry-level, graduate, and postgraduate levels on diagnostic imaging, medical screening, and differential diagnosis in physical therapist practice. Jennifer Ryan, PT, DPT CCS, MS

graduated from the Physical Therapy program at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1990 and went on to complete both a Master of Science in Physical Therapy and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. In July 2006 and 2016, she was awarded board certification as a Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialization. Throughout her physical therapy career, she has specialized in physical therapy care for critically ill patients and their families. In her current position at Northwestern University, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences and has presented over 20 peer-reviewed lectures at national conferences. Dr Ryan was the recipient of the IPTA Physical Therapist of the Year award in 2008, the Mary Sinnott Award for Excellence in Acute Care Physical Therapy in 2012, the 2014 Acute Care Section Lecture Award recipient, and the Babette Sanders Leadership and Service Award in 2023. Her teaching is in the area of cardiovascular and pulmonary and acute care physical therapy both in her primary position and in continuing education seminars. Dr Ryan’s presently serves the American Physical Therapy Association as a member of the Nominating Committee, APTA Acute Care as the Vice President, the Illinois Physical Therapy Association as a member of the Bylaws committee and an Assembly


Ernest Santoro III, PT, DPT

Dr. Santoro is the owner of Revive Physical Therapy. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University in New York in 2010 after having graduated Magna Cum Laude with his B.S. in Health and Science Studies with minors in English and Biology from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT in 2007. During the course of his career, Dr. Santoro quickly rose from a staff level Physical Therapist to Director of Operations for Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He has rehabilitated patients in a variety of healthcare settings with a wide range of post-operative, orthopedic, neurological and cardiovascular conditions.


Christine Schauerte, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Christine Schauerte graduated from Washington University with her MSPT in 1997 and completed her DPT in 2005. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedics (2011) and completed a Post- Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand in 2013. In 2015, she completed the University of Illinois Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy and became a Fellow in AAOMPT. She is an associated faculty instructor at Northwestern University’s Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences DPT program, and a Faculty Instructor and Mentor in the Northwestern University Fellowship in Advanced Orthopedic Physical Therapy Practice, Research, and Education. She practices outpatient orthopedics at The Edge Performance Therapy in Glenview, IL. She has been interested in the intersection of metabolic and musculoskeletal health throughout her PT career, lecturing frequently about PT and health promotion in the diabetes population. Ed Schiavone, PT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Ed received a BS in Physical Therapy from Youngstown State University in 1998. He completed the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowship in 2006. Became a board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2009. Ed currently serves as Director of Education at Agile Physical Therapy and is a faculty member of Agile’s Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowship Program and Orthopedic Residency. He was previously director of the residency for 6 years. Ed also serves on the faculty of the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship. John Seivert, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, NCPT A 1984 graduate of Northern Arizona University, John completed the Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy (GDMT) in 1991 and a Masters in Physiotherapy in 1996 from Curtin University Perth, Western Australia. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Evidence in Motion in 2012. John is a mentor for students in the Evidence in Motion orthopedic residency and fellowship programs and the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship and Orthopaedic Residency Programs. Richard Severin, PT, DPT, PhD, CCS

Rich Severin PT, DPT, PhD is a board-certified cardiovascular and pulmonary clinical specialist. Dr. Severin serves as clinical assistant professor and DPT program coordinator in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is also the program coordinator of the UIC/UIHealth bariatric surgery rehabilitation program. Additionally, he serves as a member of the APTA Science and Practice Affairs Committee, associate editor of Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Journal and Chief Delegate for the APTA Academy of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy. Dr. Seymour received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 2008 and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from the University of Delaware in 2010. He completed his orthopedic residency through Evidence in Motion and his manual orthopedic physical therapy fellowship at the University of Delaware. He is a mentor for PT students, residents and fellows, as well as the Program Coordinator for the Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship. Dr. Seymour also assists in classroom and lab settings throughout our Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. He is an APTA-credentialed clinical instructor and works in the UDPT Sports & Orthopedic Clinic.


Ibrahim "Abe" Shamma, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert MDT, FAAOMPT

Abe is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo and Chatham University. He completed the Kaiser Permanente NorCal OMPT Fellowship in 2007. He was faculty of the KP NorCal Fellowship from 2010-2017. He is an Officer and Physical Therapist in the U.S. Army Reserves with two overseas deployments. He has extensive experience teaching spinal and peripheral manipulation to entry-level students, Fellows in Training, and practicing clinicians. He currently works as a primary care PT and residency faculty at the Oklahoma City Veteran's Administration Medical Facility.


Eric Shamus, PhD,DPT

Eric Shamus is a professor in the department of rehabilitation sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). Prior to FGCU, Dr. Shamus spent 14 years on faculty at Nova Southeastern University teaching in the Physical Therapy and Osteopathic Medicine programs. In Osteopathic principles and practice class, he taught a range of manual therapy techniques from muscle energy, counterstrain, facilitated positional release, cranial techniques, myofascial release, movement mobilization and HVLA thrust techniques. Mark H. Shepherd is a physical therapist who holds both a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and a Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy (DSc). He is board certified in orthopaedics (OCS) and is fellowship trained in orthopaedic manual physical therapy (FAAOMPT). He is the program director of Bellin College’s Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Program. Dr. Shepherd has published several peer reviewed articles and presented at both state and national conferences. He continues to practice in clinical care for the Johns Hopkins Health System in Maryland.


Jason Silvernail, DPT, DSc.

Dr Silvernail has been practicing since 1997, on duty in the United States Army as a career military officer with over 30 years of service. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Scranton, and his Doctor of Science degree from Baylor University. He is board-certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. In the US Army, he holds the rank of Colonel, has been stationed across the United States and in Europe, and has been deployed to hostile fire areas in the Middle East and Afghanistan. He is a leader, clinician, and researcher.


Scott Siverling, PT DPT OCS FAAOMPT

Scott Siverling is an orthopedic physical therapist practicing in northern New Jersey, specializing in lower back and hip injuries as well as chronic pain. He has been a board-certified specialist in orthopedics since 2006 and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapists since 2018. Laura Siviter, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, MTC, IDN Cert.

Laura Siviter is a physical therapist with expertise in orthopaedic and manual rehabilitation. She is core faculty in the orthopaedic curriculum at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and is a fellow of AAOMPT. She also serves as an External Assessor and Accreditation Council Team Member of AAOMPT. Laura is currently completing her DScPT with research interests on the topics of extremity rehabilitation and spinal mobility impairments.


Gerard Smith, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Smith is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and Associate Director of Clinical Education at the University of Delaware. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University and has completed both residency and fellowship training. He is recognized as a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. Prior to transitioning into the academic setting, he worked clinically focused in an outpatient orthopedic and sports setting, and continues to treat in this setting. Stacy Soappman, MSPT, DSc, FAAOMPT

Dr. Soappman taught with NAIOMT after graduating from their fellowship program in 2011. She is now faculty of the newly formed Aspire OMT institute, founded by Erl Pettman. Dr Soappman has had the opportunity to lecture nationally and internationally on various OMT topics. She has developed specific OMT techniques geared for her larger patients.


Cheryl Sparks, PT, PhD, MBA, FAAOMPT

Dr. Sparks holds an appointment as associate professor at the School of Physical Therapy for South College in Knoxville, TN. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, and her research has focused on the effects specific therapeutic interventions have on the brain as visualized by functional magnetic resonance imaging. Dr. Sparks also serves as the vice president of operations for the medical group at OSF HealthCare in Peoria, IL, where she is accountable for aligning the highest quality care, experience, and financial performance across physician primary care and specialty practices.


Shawn Stoute, PT, DPT, DSc FAAOMPT

Shawn Stoute is the assistant chief of physical therapy at Keller Army Community Hospital and an assistant professor for the Baylor University-Keller Army Community Hospital Division-1 Sports Physical Therapy Fellowship at West Point, NY. He earned his DPT from the Army-Baylor program in 2014 and a Doctor of Science degree in 2020 from the Army-Baylor Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program. Dr. Stoute is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. During his fellowship, he investigated changes in accessory glenohumeral joint motion after joint mobilization using ultrasound imaging.


Bryan Tachibana, PT, DPT, ATC, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Bryan Tachibana, PT, DPT, ATC, OCS, FAAOMPT is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, and a Certified Athletic Trainer. He completed his athletic training degree at the University of Miami before earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions. Afterwards, he completed his Orthopaedic Residency and Manual Therapy Fellowship at Brooks Rehabilitation with their Institute of Higher Learning. Bryan is currently a clinical manager and physical therapist for Agile Physical Therapy in Palo Alto, California where he mentors for their Orthopaedic Residency Program and teaches within their Manual Therapy Fellowship Program. Bryan is currently an active member of AAOMPT

Dr. Michelle Tanner is an instructor with Upstream Rehab Institute and is currently an Area Director for BenchMark Physical Therapy in the northwest Atlanta area. She graduated from Emory University in 2007 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Dr. Tanner completed certification in Spinal Manipulation and Diploma of Osteopractic through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT). She then completed an Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy fellowship with AAMT and obtained the designation: fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Dr. Tanner is a long time clinical instructor and serves as a mentor to new graduate physical therapists, orthopedic residents and fellows-in-training.


Ashley Taylor, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT

Ashley Taylor is a fellowship-trained orthopedic manual physical therapist currently working in Northern Virginia. She graduated from the Marymount University DPT program in 2013, completed the Kaiser Northern CA OMPT Fellowship in 2018 and returned to clinic work on the east coast and to teach at Marymount University. Ashley has participated in several advanced HVLA courses taught by Philip Tehan & enjoys treating complex high level orthopedic cases. She also spends the large majority of her time adventuring around the DMV area with her two amazing kiddos, Lincoln & Jane & her husband Brock.


Moyo Tillery, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Moyo Tillery is an Assistant Professor of Musculoskeletal Practice Management at Tufts University - Boston’s hybrid accelerated Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Moyo is a licensed physical therapist with over 13 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics and occupational health. She is board-certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.


Jon Umlauf, PT, DPT, DSc, OCS, FAAOMPT

Jon Umlauf is an associate professor for the Army-Baylor University Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy and the Army-Baylor University Doctoral Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. He has over ten years of experience performing and teaching MSK ultrasound. He is also the only physical therapist to serve on the APCA MSK Ultrasound Examination (RMSK) Assessment Committee, the highest ultrasound certification for physical therapists. His research interests include development of clinical reasoning skills, improving patient, and investigating the utility and of diagnostic ultrasound.


Alison Vargo

Alison Vargo is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston and her Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She completed her Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency with Harris Health System in Houston, Texas in 2011, and she completed her Fellowship training through The Manual Therapy Institute, PLLC. She is currently on faculty with MTI and serves as an Adjunct Professor with the ScD program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.


Arie van Duijn, PT, MSPT, EdD, OCS(em), MTC

Arie J. van Duijn is a professor of Physical Therapy at the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Florida Gulf Coast University. He has a BS in PT from the Academie door Fysiotheraoie in Leiden, The Netherlands, a MSPT from the University of St Augustine, and an EdD from the University of Central Florida. His current area of scholarship and teaching includes orthopedic physical therapy with a special interest in manual therapy of the spine and extremities, musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging, and motion analysis. He authored the textbook, Manual Therapy for the Extremities.


Ryan Vickers, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Ryan Vickers, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. He completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine, before moving to Brooks Rehabilitation and completing their Orthopaedic Residency and Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship. His current role is the Program Coordinator for the Orthopaedic Residency Program for the Brooks Institute of Higher Learning. He also teaches several continuing education courses with the Brooks IHL and assists with their Clinical Practice Enhancement program. Ryan is an active member of both the APTA and AAOMPT, having presented at both state and national conferences and currently acting as a member of both the Diversity Network Committee of AAOMPT. His clinical areas of interest include management of concussions, headaches and migraines, TMD, and neck pain.


Lauren Waling, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT

Lauren graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in 2016. She went on to complete her Fellowship training from The Manual Therapy Institute in 2021. Lauren is the owner of Achieve Movement Physical Therapy in Boca Raton, FL and is an adjunct faculty at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences Miami campus.


Kelli Wilson, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Kelli Wilson, PT, DPT, is the owner of Alcove Pelvic Health Education, which provides education on pelvic health and orthopedics to physical and occupational therapists internationally. She lives in Austin, Texas, where she owns and practices at Alcove Pelvic Therapy, working with all genders to treat complex pelvic pain conditions. She is the current AAOMPT Podcast host discussing pelvic health topics and former President of the AAOMPT’s Pelvic Health Special Interest Group. She has been published in the Journal of Women’s and Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and continues to pave the way with normalizing pelvic health education for all therapists.


Nicole Windsor, PT, DPT, PhD, FAAOMPT

Nicole D. Windsor, PT, DPT, PhD is a physical therapist, educator and businesswoman. Dr. Windsor is currently an Associate Teaching Professor at Wichita State University. She received her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from University of Kentucky (UK; Lexington, KY) in 2021. Dr. Windsor received her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Physical Therapy from Wichita State University. She has presented multiple education sessions to various student populations, at Kentucky Physical Therapy Association, and via UK regarding the neuroscience behind chronic pain and opioid dependence. Dr. Windsor has been a member of APTA since 2002, was the APTA Federal Affairs Liaison for the state of Kansas from 2016 to 2018, an elected member of the AOPT Animal Physical Therapy Nominating Committee, and serves as the Vice-chair of the Academy of Physical Therapy Research Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, current senior nominating committee member of the Academic and Clinical Faculty SIG via American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), and was recently placed on the practices affairs committee for AAOMPT. She received a fellowship with AAOMPT in 2009.
