Bring your colleagues and join the American Academy of Othopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) and the Orthopaedic Section, for this important advocacy day.

AAOMPT is partnering with the Orthopaedic Section and the APTA to create significant and effective outreach to members of Congress on current issues affecting the practice of Manual Orthopaedic and Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.

Register to attend the AAOMPT Capitol Hill Day on the AAOMPT Conference Registration Form. AAOMPT will contact you with additional information on how to set up congressional appointments and current legislative issues important to your congressional district.

Program Schedule and Description

Wednesday, October 14
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm	Hill Day Training Session Hyatt Regency Crystal City Attendees will learn, in-depth, about current legislatives topics that impact their profession. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and obtain additional information that will help you be an effective advocate on AAOMPT issues. Advocacy specialists will walk you through each step of a Congressional meeting, providing tips and guidance on how to effectively promote our priority issues and make the most of your meetings with members of Congress and their staff. You will also learn ways to continue your advocacy efforts throughout the year. After completing the training session, advocates will participate with their state delegation in meetings with members of Congress and their staff on Capitol Hill the next day.
Thursday, October 15
7:30 am - 8:30 am	Hill Day Breakfast AAOMPT will host breakfast for all Hill Day participants. Final information and instructions will be provided at breakfast.
8:30 am - 9:00 am	Transportation to the Hill
9:00 am - 1:00 pm	Senate Appointments for State Delegations Each State Delegation will attend Senate appointments as a group, led by their State Delegate Leader.
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm	AAOMPT Hill Day De-briefing Room — Capitol Hill Club AAOMPT will host a de-briefing room, where you can provide feedback on your appointments, fill out visit report forms and write thank you cards. Refreshments will be provided.
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm	Congressional Appointments for Individuals Individual participants will attend their own congressional appointments.
2:30 pm - 5:00 pm	Transportation back to the Hyatt Crystal City Shuttle buses back to the Hyatt Hotel will depart every 30 minutes beginning at 2:30 pm with the last departure at 5:00 pm.
